Council of Public Funding Organisations

The TMF was initiated by the Federal Ministry for Education and Science (BMBF), which up to now has funded it extensively. A large majority of the TMF members are also funded by the BMBF. Pursuant to an agreement concluded between the BMBF and the German Research Foundation (DFG), the membership subscription for the TMF is eligible to be supported by grants within the scope of the respective research network’s funding. In order to guarantee proper use of the public funds made available to the TMF by its members, in conformity with the statutes, the Council of Public Funding Organisations monitors the working orientation and the financial planning of the TMF. The Council of Public Funding Organisations is composed of one representative of the BMBF, one representative of the attendant project agency Health Research in the DLR and one representative of the DFG.
