Communicating common messages

The TMF member networks all pursue a common goal: they create added value for patients and for Germany as a research location by means of networked research on the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This working group plans and carries out measures for joint public relations.

The TMF member networks cover all areas from bench to bedside. They validate the results from basic research in clinical research projects, implement them as new treatment options and make them available as soon as possible for the treatment of patients.

With its core message "Meeting challenges: researching together for people", the networks’ joint measures are aimed at the media, those affected and medical specialists as well as interested parties among the general public. As such, they contribute to ensuring that the research results are available for use by doctors and patients more quickly, to presenting the social benefits of collaborative medical research and documenting to the public the use of what is, for the most part, public funding. The public relations working group plans, coordinates and carries out the measures. The TMF Office supports these activities.
