Under the title "Data Bodies for Health Services Research and Updates on the Health Care Data Information System," the TMF Forum Health Services Research will take place on June 30, 2015, in Berlin. It is the third event in the series on health services research, where scientists who require secondary data for their research will exchange ideas with DIMDI and representatives from politics and industry. The Health Services Research Forum will also provide an up-to-date overview of the experiences with the Health Care Data Information System.

In addition to the so-called DaTraV data of the Health Care Data Information System, there are numerous other data bodies relevant to health services research, which the TMF Forum Health Services Research will present. At the same time, the challenges arising from the integration of data from various sources will be discussed. Since the usability of data bodies for health services research depends significantly on legal framework conditions, these will be examined based on a legal opinion recently prepared.
At the first event of the Health Services Research Forum in January 2014, the Health Care Data Information System (Data Transparency), which has been providing aggregated health care data from statutory health insurance funds for analyses of healthcare provision since February 2014, was introduced. The event series initiated for this purpose provides a supportive dialogue platform for the continuous exchange of experiences among stakeholders in healthcare.
The event is conducted in cooperation with:
- the German Institute for Medical Documentation and Information (DIMDI) and
- the Workgroup on the Collection and Use of Secondary Data (AGENS) of the German Society for Social Medicine and Prevention (DGSMP) and the German Society for Epidemiology (DGEpi).
Media representatives are cordially invited. A brief registration at presse@tmf-ev.de is requested.
