Political Lobby

The TMF brings together broad scientific expertise through its members and cooperation partners, connecting a wide range of university and non-university research institutions, and also serves as a bridge within the healthcare system.

Shaping political frameworks together

The TMF works with researchers and other organizations to develop positions and statements on current developments and draft legislation. The scientific community, involved through various formats, contributes important experiences and insights. For policymakers, this offers the advantage that the statements do not reflect individual opinions but are the result of extensive discussion and coordination processes among major research projects and institutions.

With its nonpartisan expertise, the TMF is a valued dialogue partner for policymakers, ministries, and institutions. TMF representatives are also present at political events, where they engage in exchange with other experts and provide key input. Additionally, through its established international network, the TMF organizes political study tours and contributes to the development of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) at the EU level. Through its own events—such as the National Digital Health Symposium or parliamentary evenings and breakfasts—the TMF brings topics and issues to the political agenda and brings together important stakeholders to support dialogue between science, healthcare, industry, and politics, to develop joint solutions, and to initiate the necessary coordination processes.

National Digital Health Symposium

The National Digital Health Symposium serves as a networking and exchange forum for healthcare providers, payers, and medical research, incorporating the perspectives of manufacturers and patients. Its goal is to accelerate the digital cultural shift in the healthcare system. The focus is on realistically addressing challenges, approaching them constructively, and jointly shaping the healthcare system of the future.
