Physicians, scientists, IT specialists, biometricians, and representatives of other professional groups in medical network research will come together on April 1st and 2nd, 2009, at Ruhr University St. Josef Hospital Bochum for the annual congress of the Telematics Platform for Medical Research Networks (TMF). The goal of the congress is to further intensify the exchange among researchers, which is one of the core concerns of the TMF, and to expand it across existing groups.
Checklists, guidelines, (IT) tools, expert opinions, or sample contracts, which are the results of collaborative work within the TMF, will be presented, commented on, and discussed by users. "The products are freely available at the TMF for use in patient-oriented medical research and should be continuously adapted to the needs of clinical and basic sciences as well as changing conditions. We are pleased that with this congress, we can promote broad exchange on this topic," emphasizes Congress President Prof. Dr. Norbert Brockmeyer, TMF board member and spokesperson for the HIV/AIDS Competence Network with its headquarters in Bochum.
