Experience Reports in the Health Research ToolPool: The TMF Raffles Three Prizes

Since March 2017, the Health Research ToolPool has been bundling IT tools, services, and information for building IT infrastructures in medical research. The portal, operated by the TMF, aims to promote the exchange of experiences in using the products. To this end, users can create qualified experience reports. This information can help future users decide whether a product is suitable for their specific requirements. The TMF is raffling three high-quality prizes among all experience reports published by September 19, 2017, at 12 noon on the portal.
"The Health Research ToolPool aims to ensure that existing know-how and developed solutions in medical research are widely used to avoid duplicate developments and make medical research more efficient overall," explains Prof. Dr. Ulrich Sax, spokesperson for the TMF Workgroup on IT Infrastructure and Quality Management. "Sharing experiences with each other plays an enormously important role in this. For this reason, the TMF has decided to create an incentive for users to submit an experience report on the portal through the raffle."
Participation is open to those who submit an experience report by September 19, 2017
A prerequisite for participation in the raffle is the writing of an experience report on a product currently listed in the ToolPool. Three prizes will be raffled among all published experience reports, provided by providers of software products or services in the ToolPool.
1st Prize: Apple iPad 32 GB WiFi, provided by secuTrial
2nd Prize: Smart Watch Garmin Forerunner 35, provided by Kairos
3rd Prize: Laptop Backpack Samsonite XBR, provided by Clinical Guideline Services
The winners will be drawn and publicly announced during the 62nd GMDS Annual Conference, which will be held on September 20, 2017, in Oldenburg.
Brief Info Health Research ToolPool
The Health Research ToolPool portal supports the planning, construction, and operation of complex IT infrastructures in medical research. It consolidates access to IT tools, assistance, and consulting services developed under the auspices of the TMF, other academic organizations, or commercial providers.
The ToolPool is more than just a list: offers are thematically classified, interactive functions that allow users to share their experiences and comment on products.
The portal is aimed at IT managers as well as researchers, research managers, and staff of funding organizations. Various entry options take into account the different information needs.
The TMF operates and supervises the portal content-wise. The TMF is the central umbrella organization and exchange platform for research infrastructures in medicine in Germany.
